China
As we all know China is very big. The longitude of China’s most eastern point is 135° 00' E. The Longitude of the most western point is close to 75° 00' E. You will notice that China geographically spans over 4 time zones. However China uses only one time zone, China Standard Time CST. CST is UTC +0800. As a result the sun rises very late in the east of China and early in the west. Of course there are a lots of reasons why this is not very practical. It seems like practicality was not the main objective for the Communist Party of China when they decided to switch from five time zones to one.
