Greenland is a very big island, it’s situated between latitudes 59° and 83°N, and longitudes 11° and 74°W. Qaanaaq in the west of the country uses Atlantis Standard Time AST and Atlantic Daylight Time ADT. AST is UTC -0400 and ADT is UTC -0300. Danmarkshavn in the East uses GMT and is the only part of Greenland without daylight saving time. Notice the extreme latitude of Greenland. Because of this the length of the days in Greenland is heavily affected by the seasons. Especially in the north of the country winter days are short and cold.
