Micronesia is a group of Island in the Pacific Ocean and a sub region of Oceania. Micronesia is not to be confused with the Federated States of Micronesia. This is a sovereign island state, a nation within the region. The latitude and longitude of the Federated States of Micronesia is 6°55′N and 158°11′E. However the different island are spread over a large area, as a result the country uses two time zones. The east of the country is on Kosrae Time KOST. KOST is UTC +1100, The west is on Chuuk Time CHUT. CHUT is UTC +1000. Because of its low latitude the country has no use for daylight savings time.
