Myanmar (sometimes called Burma but officially the Republic of the Union of Myanmar) uses Myanmar Time MMT. MMT is UTC +0630. MMT is one of the exceptional time zones. Most time zones are a number of whole hours ahead or behind UTC. Myanmar’s latitude and longitude is 21° 6′ 0″ N and 95° 27′ 0″ E. Therefore being six hours ahead of UTC wouldn’t be enough and being seven hours ahead would be too much. And after all… there is nothing wrong with being exceptional.
