The Azores (part of Portugal) use Azores Time AZOT and Azores Summer Time AZOST. AZOT is UTC -0100 and AZOST is UTC +0000. Mainland Portugal is not very big. It takes the sun less than half an hour to “travel” from the east to the west. The Azores are much further east, explaining the need for multiple time zones in Portugal.
